US CONFERENCE OF MAYORS

On January 25, 2018, Do Not Stand Idly By leaders from Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Illinois, Ohio, and Wisconsin met in Washington during the US Conference of Mayors to recognize mayors who are leading on gun safety and to meet with other local & national leaders to discuss our strategy.

We had teams meet with

- Senatorial staff on Capitol Hill;
- Members of the Consumer Product Safety Commission;
- DC’s Office of Public Safety & Justice;
- The CEO of the Truman Center; and
- Individual mayors in attendance at the US Conference of Mayors meeting.

We also had a large group go to Capital Heights, MD, for an action at Realco Guns, a dealership known for supplying the DC area with crime guns.
